AHEPS v3.o "Bees and Butterflies" (Serious Fun!)
AH-EPS (or "Apes!") is a new "haptic" way to teach and learn pronunciation through video, movement and touch.
(Literally, "haptic" means relating to touch or "grasp," the sense of touch, tactile, from the Greek "haptikos." )
AH-EPS highlights:
10 modules, covering essential topics of English pronunciation: vowels, stress, rhythm, intonation, fluency, expressiveness and selected consonants.
10, 30-minute teaching video lessons (one in each module) where students are trained in using haptic-based techniques to help them learn, remember and recall targeted pronunciation. Available in DVD and streaming formats.
Student and Teacher workbooks in digital or hardcopy that complement the video content.
A flexible combination of teaching and practice videos, such that the content of a module can be covered in 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the type of class and instructor background (beginning with a 30-minute in-class video and then students doing up to 3 additional 30-minute video-based homework assignments.)
After students complete a teaching video lesson, AH-EPS provides instructors with a means of providing integrated feedback on pronunciation or introducing new vocabulary using the techniques and sounds from that lesson later in any class.
